His research focuses on structure\u2013property relationships in functional materials, with a particular interest in quadrupolar dyes studied in Daniel Gryko\u2019s group at the Institute of Organic Chemistry. He has gained experience in organic synthesis, X-ray crystallography, photolithography, and theoretical modeling, supporting his work on predicting optical properties. In 2025, Bartek received the Pearls of Science grant and the Polish Student Nobel award for the best student in energetics and life sciences. The same year, he joined the Gawel Group to pursue a PhD on molecular memristors based on proton transfer.
