Sławomir Gacka

Sławek is an enthusiastic chemist with a strong background in organic, organometallic, and coordination chemistry. He completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry at the University of Warsaw and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the Gawel Research Group, focusing on multichromophore molecular systems. During his studies, he gained extensive experience in organometallic synthesis and catalysis, initially working in Prof. Karol Grela’s group on ruthenium-based catalysts for olefin metathesis. He subsequently joined Dr. Przemysław Malinowski’s group at the Centre of New Technologies, investigating highly Lewis-acidic metal salts and their catalytic applications in organic synthesis. His current research focuses on designing and synthesizing novel multichromophore architectures to explore excited-state interactions and singlet fission, with potential applications in organic optoelectronics and quantum technologies.
